We use Traditional Chinese, Kiiko (Japanese), and laser acupuncture techniques.  We use only the finest, sterile, disposable needles and try to employ the gentlest, least painful needle technique.

FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE (Cosmetic Acupuncture)

Acupuncture has been around for thousands of years and although relatively new to the West, the Chinese have been using points on the face to combat the signs of aging and to help with various skin conditions for many years. It was in use as early as the Song Dynasty (960AD - 1279AD).

Studies published in the International Journal of Clinical Acupuncture in 1996 showed that of 300 people who received Facial Acupuncture, 90% demonstrated marked results after only their first treatment.

Alternative to BOTOX®?

Unlike BOTOX® or surgery, which carry a large number of possible side effects, Facial Acupuncture is a totally natural and holistic anti-aging treatment. It aims to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and works on lifting the face, particularly where the face begins to sag around the 'jowls' and the cheek area. Body acupuncture points are used as well, in order to improve overall health.

Facial Acupuncture will require a course of treatment (usually 10) to show pronounced results. However, as both the face and body are treated with acupuncture, a patient's health and wellbeing can be greatly improved by undertaking this series of treatments. Facial patients often report that they feel healthier, sleep better, have brighter eyes, and feel more balanced.

Facial / Cosmetic Acupuncture uses very small intradermal needles as well as small acupuncture needles to bring nourishment to the face and to promote the production of collagen. Over the course of treatment, one may see a brighter complexion, fewer wrinkles, and one may feel more energized. Cosmetic acupuncture may also be helpful for other conditions such as Bell's Palsy.

•Initial Consultation with Facial Acupuncture

The initial appointment is 90 minutes, during which the patient’s overall health and specific facial enhancement goals will be discussed. The patient will then receive a treatment. Follow-up appointments are 60 minutes each, and support the goals discussed in the initial appointment.
